HEIDENHAIN: a profile

Founded in Berlin in 1889, this pioneering company for measurement and control technology looks back on a long tradition. HEIDENHAIN, located in Traunreut in southern Bavaria, now offers products and solutions for industries such as machine tools, automation, electronics, robotics, elevators, and medical technology.

Demanding positioning tasks in these industries are our mission, and accuracy is our passion. Research and development are part of our DNA, with many of our employees devoted to the continual development of advanced technologies. A double-digit percentage of our revenues is invested in R&D throughout the Corporate Group.

Around 8200 employees worldwide work to advance our customers within their markets. HEIDENHAIN is an international company with its own sales agencies, service agencies, subsidiaries, and distributor networks. Key brands serving our core industries are AMO, ETEL, NUMERIK JENA, and RSF.

HEIDENHAIN PACIFIC PTE LTD, a wholly owned subsidiary of DR. JOHANNES HEIDENHAIN GmbH is based in Singapore since 1980. Employing 15 people, the company is the center for Sales, Service, Repairs and Technical Support for HEIDENHAIN products for the Asia Pacific Region.

HEIDENHAIN product, application and customer service support provided are:

  • TNC contouring control systems, (CNC system for Machine Tools automation
  • Digital readouts system for conventional Machine Tools upgrading.
  • Linear / Rotary Encoders, Length Gauges, Measuring Probes, Machine calibration equipment.

HEIDENHAIN PACIFIC is an active member of the:

  • Singapore Confederations Industry
  • The Machine Tool Club

HEIDENHAIN is fully owned by a non-profit organization created by the company’s founder. The company therefore operates independently of third-party economic and private interests. Its profits are invested in alignment with the non-profit organization and plowed back into the company itself. This special type of ownership ensures the company's sustainable continuity and the jobs of its employees. As a result, our employees enjoy a sense of working for their own company.
